Context
By the end of the year, we will be making available a new way to use activity data to build queries. If you are interested in using this feature once it becomes available, please fill out our form. Once it is available a product manager will reach out to about how you can start taking advantage of this feature.
To refresh yourself on how activity data is used to build queries today, please review this article. For information on how this experience will change, please read through the content below.
What customers will be eligible to use this feature?
All customers who have migrated to using the new automated way if importing data will be eligible to use this feature. Please review this article for information on how to migrate to the new automated data import.
What are the new features and capabilities?
- Users will no longer be required to create and import a grouping file for activity data. Instead, users will be able to import custom fields from their activity data and use any custom field to create a query.
- You will still be able to create groupings for web visit data
Examples of the types of queries you will be able to build are shown below:
Example 1:
-
Query uses the Stage Name and Created Date of an opportunity record to identify accounts that have an opportunity in a stage of open and were created within the last two quarters.
Example 2:
- Query uses the Activity Type, Activity Date and specifies a specific Campaign ID to identify contacts who have filled out a form for campaign 12345 within the past two months.
