Context
Creating a custom connection using AWS S3 is how you can load data to the CDP that are not supported by one of the native integrations.
Prerequisite:
- Step 1: [Import Data] Create a Custom Data Import Connection
- You must be using the new automated data import workflow. If you are not using the new automated data import workflow, you should reach out to your customer success manager to integrate with Rev.Up
Map Fields to Attributes in the CDP for a Custom Connection
Step 1: Map fields for a Custom Connection
The data sources that you have created under your custom connection will only become usable after you have sent a file to the AWS S3 folder and used the file to map fields to the CDP.
You can click on the warning icon on the source to import your file from S3 and map fields.
You will be taken to a screen where you can import your sample file from AWS S3.
Once you have uploaded your file from S3, you will work through the steps of mapping fields, creating settings and giving your source a name.
Step 3b: If you chose to do a one time import
Once you click continue you will be taken to a screen where you can choose the type of data you wish to load to the CDP.
