-
Step 2: [Send Data] [BETA] Create a Salesforce Activation Connection
Sending Records to Salesforce
Step 1: Create a campaign that includes the records you want to create or update in Salesforce.
Step 2: Click on your newly created campaign and hit "Launch" for your Salesforce Lightweight Connection.
Step 3: Configure your Salesforce campaign launch settings. Examples are provided below for different potential use cases.
Example 1 - Create New Accounts: I want to send accounts that have been added to Rev.Up through buyer intent or from web visits directly to my sellers to use for prospecting. We will select "send accounts only" and "create new account" from the launch settings.
Example 2 - Create and Update Accounts: I want to send accounts that have been added to Rev.Up through buyer intent or from web visits directly to my sellers to use for prospecting. I also want to write propensity model scores to both newly created accounts and existing accounts. We will select "send accounts only", "create new account" , and "update existing account" from the launch settings.
Example 3 - Create/Update Accounts and Contacts: I want to send accounts and associated contacts that have been added to Rev.Up through buyer intent or from web visits to sellers. Using the Explore Module, we can acquire contacts for the newly created accounts from D&B Buyer Intent or Visitor Intelligence. I can then send both these records to my sellers as contacts in Salesforce. We will select "send both accounts and contacts" and choose to create and/or update accounts and contacts.
Example 4 - Create New Contacts or Leads: I have used the Explore Module acquire contacts for high value accounts and want to send these records to my sellers as contacts in Salesforce. Two options are availabe:
- Send Contacts Only - If I already have the accounts in my Salesforce and want to send net new contacts.
- Send Leads Only - I may already have an account in my Salesforce, but want to send a new contact record as a lead so that my seller can follow the established process.
You can add records you send to Salesforce to a Salesforce Campaign so that you can keep track of how your sales plays are performing by using Salesforce campaign reporting.
*Accounts cannot be added to Salesforce campaigns
Step 4: Review newly created/updated records in your salesforce instance.
Newly created records will automatically be assigned to to the integration user logged in (as record owners) to create the Salesforce activation connection. Any attributes mapped during the connection configuration process will appear on the created/updated record as shown below:
Known Limitations:
- Performance reporting in RevUp is not currently available for this feature
