This guide outlines the process for connecting & reconnecting Rev.Up ABX to Google Ads for audience distribution.
- If you have have multiple Google Ads accounts, separate connections should be created for each account.
- Connecting Rev.Up ABX to Google Ads requires a Google Ads Account with login credentials and an account number. The Google Ads account must have Standard or Admin access permissions. You can read more about Google's access permissions types here.
- Connections to Google Ads only support Customer Match audiences - any audience created in this connection by Rev.Up ABX will be a Customer Match audience. You can read more about Google's Customer Match policies here.
- Note - distributing to Google Ads will take up to 48 hours, for Google's customer match process to complete. You can expect to see the shell of your audience in Google within 3-4 hours of launch, but it will not be usable until the match process completes.
Step 1: Select Google Ads connection
In the connections page, select Google Ads connection and click Create.
Step 2: Select "Add New Account":
If you've never set up a connector, you'll only have an option to add a new account:
If you already have a connector, the platform shows all your available LinkedIn connections in the drop-down list. To add a new account, select the "Add a new account" option that you can find after you click on the drop down. Rev.Up can support many independent Google Ads accounts.
Note: Should there be several ad accounts, it may be required to scroll down to find the "Add a new account" option at the very bottom.
Step 3: Identify the Google Ads account
Provide an authentication name and click Add.
Step 4: Log in to the Google account
Once you provide the Google Ads user credentials, you will be prompted to provide access to Rev.Up ABX - this must be accepted to connect.
Step 5: Select the Google Ad Account name from the drop-down
Step 6: Verify that the Google Ads connection is displayed in the Rev.Up ABX connection page
To change the account name, click the 3 dots in the top right-hand corner and click Edit.
