How do I move over to the Synchronous Scoring Webhook?
Making the change is easy, and you can continue to use your existing Scoring Program and Smart Campaigns in Marketo.
First, file a support ticket requesting that your Lattice account use the Synchronous webhook. Lattice will turn on the service for you. Note: your existng webhook in Marketo will be unchanged and will continue to score until you turn it off. However, in Lattice your Marketo Settings page will be new.
1. Go to Marketo Settings in Lattice, and resave your Marketo Profile, even if nothing has changed. This will activate your new webhook.
2. Go to your Models and complete the Scoring setup for the new webhook. For more information on setting up Marketo webhooks with Lattice see the topical pages in this section.
3. When you are ready to use the new webhoook in marketo, simply update your Scoring Program to call the new webhook.
Who should use Lattice Synchronous Scoring?
Lattice synchronous scoring is the fastest and most reliable way to get your Lattice scores into Marketo. If your model scores using Lattice Data Cloud, or Lattice Data Cloud plus some fields from your Marketo Lead object, you should use synchronous scoring.
Who should use Lattice Asynchronous Scoring?
Most customers should use Lattice Synchronous Scoring. This is because it uses Marketo Webhook Response to write scores back, which is the Marketo best practice.
Rarely, customers will need to use asynchronous scoring to enable Lattice to write scores to Marketo via REST API call. This is typically done when a scoring request requires additional API calls from Lattice before scores can be generated.
