How do I move over to the Synchronous Scoring Webhook?
Making the change is easy, and you can continue to use your existing Scoring Program and Smart Campaigns in Marketo.
First, file a support ticket requesting that your CDP account use the Synchronous webhook. The CDP will turn on the service for you. Note: your existng webhook in Marketo will be unchanged and will continue to score until you turn it off. However, in the CDP your Marketo Settings page will be new.
What settings do I need to adjust in Lattice Predictive Insights?
1. Go to Marketo Settings in the CDP, and resave your Marketo Profile, even if nothing has changed. This will activate your new webhook.
2. Go to your Models and complete the Scoring setup for the new webhook. For more information on setting up Marketo webhooks with the CDP, see the topical pages in this section.
3. When you are ready to use the new webhoook in marketo, simply update your Scoring Program to call the new webhook.
Who should use Synchronous Scoring?
Synchronous scoring is the fastest and most reliable way to get your scores into Marketo. If your model scores using the D&B Data Cloud plus some fields from your Marketo Lead object, you should use synchronous scoring. Most customers should use Synchronous Scoring. This is because it uses Marketo Webhook Response to write scores back, which is the Marketo best practice.
Who should use Asynchronous Scoring?
Rarely, customers will need to use asynchronous scoring to enable users to write scores to Marketo via REST API call. This is typically done when a scoring request requires additional API calls from the CDP before scores can be generated.
