Whether you are pulling a data sample to push your integrations into new workflows, or just need to deliver a flat-file list for immediate action, you can easily get the job done by exporting your Atlas Segment membership.
You can export your Contacts, enriched directly and at the Account level, with your first and third party data (including data from Lattice). You can also get only Accounts or only Contacts, enriched just within that object.
Download your Segment Export within 7 days to ensure up-to-date membership. Segment Export file is in CSV format.
Step by Step
To ensure that you get the enrichments you need with your Account or Contacts, check your Enrichment settings in Attribute Management.
Confirm or Update Enrichment Settings Before Segment Export
Login to Atlas. Use the button in the upper right called Attribute Admin to navigate to your enrichment settings.
Click on the middle tab called Enable/Disable Attributes and select the section called Export. Here, you will see how many attributes are available to enrich a Segment extract. You can toggle attributes from any Category by clicking to the category on the carousel at top, then clicking on your attributes of interest. You can select up to 1000 attributes for export enrichment.
Click Save to ensure that all of your settings are stored.
Note that Enable/Disable of attributes takes effect immediately. You are ready to run an export of Segment membership at any time.
Run a Segment Export
Login to Atlas and click Segments on the left sidebar. Use the filters and search button in the upper left to find the Segment you want to Export. Click on the Segment tile.
Once in your Segment, click Export in the upper right to expand the export options. Choose Accounts, Contacts, or Accounts and Contacts. The number of records in the export will reflect the counts in the Segment when the job runs. You can see the counts in the Segment Account and Contact tabs.
Choose Accounts and Contacts when you want Contact IDs linked back to Accounts with ALL enrichments.
Choose Accounts when you want Account IDs with account fields enriched. Your enriched fields can be from any Account Attribute category. Contacts and COntact Attributes will not be included.
Choose Contacts when you want Contact IDs with Contact fields ONLY. The linked Account IDs will be in the export, but Account Attributes will not be included.
Once you click the Export format you want, your extraction job will be submitted to the Atlas jobs queue.
Export jobs typically complete within 15-30 min, depending on the number of records requested.
You will receive an email informing you that your extraction job is finished.
Login to Atlas and visit the Jobs page by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the screen on any page.
On the Jobs page, click on the Segment Export tab on the far right to see all the Segment Export files available for download. (After 7 days, the file will expire. See the status in the rightmost column of the table.)
Click your download (link under Status in the table) and your browser will begin the CSV download.
Frequently Asked Questions
How often does my Segment Membership change?
Your Segment membership can change anytime your Atlas database is updated. Lattice updated Intent Topic surge levels weekly, for example. You may have other sources that you update as often as every day.
You can check your current Segment membership any time by navigating to the Segment and reviewing the counts and records that qualify.
Can I get my Contacts enriched with Lattice Data Cloud attributes?
Yes. Choose Accounts and Contacts as your export option to get your Contacts enriched with data at both the Contact Account levels.
I ran the export, but how to do I get the enrichments?
Go to Attribute Admin (from My Data page) to check and update your enrichment settings. Here, you can choose which attributes will be included when you run an export.
