The Pardot connector uses the Pardot prospect ID to uniquely identify a prospect. While adding a prospect from a CDP segment into a list in Pardot, if the prospect does not mapped to a valid ID in Pardot, a new prospect will be created and added to the list.
You may already be synching the contact and account data from your CRM and other systems into the CDP. Similarly you can also import the Prospect ID from Pardot into the CDP. This will ensure that right prospects are added to the list and new prospects are created only when the prospects do not exist in already in Pardot.
There are two ways in which you can import Pardot prospect ID into the CDP.
Option 1: CDP import connector for Pardot will enable you to automatically import the Pardot data into the CDP. For more details on Pardot import connector click here.
Option 2: Import the prospect ID as a CSV file using the CDP user interface
