Launching campaigns to Pardot
Once your connection is enabled to Pardot, you can send segments to Pardot in two ways:
- Create a new campaign from an existing segment
- Use an existing campaign and additional launch to Pardot as an additional endpoints (more on omni-channel campaigns)
Once a campaign shell is created, you can control the launch settings to Pardot from within that campaign shell.
- Select the campaign:
- Select the Pardot Launch option:
- Configure launch settings:
- When configuring your launch from within a campaign you can control:
a. The number of contacts from the segment that should be sent
b. The number of contacts per account that should be sent
c. The existing list, or the name of a new list you want the contacts to be published to. Note: any contacts that do not match to a prospect ID and are not in the Pardot global will be created by this process. Your segment should filter for “Prospect ID is Present” if you do not want new contacts created.
d. The Pardot campaign you want the list to be associated with (optional):
e. The frequency of the launch (once, daily, weekly or monthly), and whether you want future launches to only update Pardot with new records (keep target system in sync), or send all contacts every launch.
f. Whether you want to cancel out of the changes you’ve made, or have the campaign to launch immediately, or wait until the next date selected in the recurring launch (specified in step E)
Your campaign is ready to launch now, or at the next scheduled launch.
